Richard Shindell

Richard Shindell writes songs which alternate between quirky ballads of love gone wrong to deeply spiritual songs that question the nature of the soul. He creates characters that jump out of your speakers and all but appear whole in front of you. While most CD's on the market are merely snacks, Shindell's albums are more like a three-course meal. Every collection should have at least one or two CD's of his in it.

Cry Cry Cry is a "supergroup" consisting of three of the best of today's singer-songwriters: Dar Williams, Lucy Kaplansky and Richard Shindell. While they have only released one album to date, the success that they've had with it virtually guarantees that there will be other albums in their future. Let's hope it doesn't take too long!
