| Ellis Paul has one of the most unique voices in contemporary folk. He also crafts memorable melodies around lyrics that are complex yet accessible. His early albums are filled with spectacular background vocals from Patty Griffin. His song "World Ain't Slowin' Down" from the album "Translucent Soul" was featured on the soundtrack to "Me, Myself & Irene" and his song "Sweet Mistakes" was featured on the soundtrack to "Shallow Hal". If you don't own all of his CD's you are missing out on one of the finest artists around. |
