John Gorka

John Gorka is not only one of the most prolific of today's singer-songwriters, he is a genuinely nice guy. I had the privilege of being his opening act in Dayton, Ohio in 1990. He was kind and generous with his time and it was a great pleasure to work with him. I hope to be lucky enough to do it again someday. His smooth baritone voice is touching on the ballads and oddly off-kilter in his more unusual songs. Any CD of his would make an excellent addition to your collection, but if you can only get one CD, make it "Land of the Bottom Line", undeniably one of the best CDs of the entire genre.
